Thanks GotDog, Woo Hoo Ann & Sunny!

I can't think of a better way to start the new year and the new decade than by doing three days of agility ....  GotDog threw a very fun party last weekend, the weather was amazingly cooperative (hardly even needed those heat lamps in the porta-potties, it was so balmy! -- you wouldn't have recognized the place, Don Cuda! :^), and what fun to be able to share those first-ever MEDALS for Pepper and Nesa with our good friends Ann and Sunny.  We have shared trials with and watched these teams grow and develop ever since their beginnings -- and how cool to be able to share these great milestones with them!  They are always fun to watch, and some of the nicest people to boot! :^)

We always enjoy having Arlene come to Montana to judge -- she is so supportive of all teams at all levels -- much appreciated!  It was a great bunch of competitors and friends, and Cindy and I especially appreciated everyone's willingness to jump in and fill those volunteer worker positions!

I thought maybe the blue moon was going to have some influence on Zack's and my performance this weekend when we managed a 40% Q rate on the first day ....  but I guess we need all of the rest of the stars and the planets correctly aligned too since that average didn't hold up for the rest of the weekend :^) .....  (or maybe a little more "back to the basics" practice and training would help, too!! :^)  Darn all of this snow and ice in my yard, anyway!  A month in New Mexico with Steve and Nancy sounds just wonderful at this point!!!  :^)

Happy New Year, all.... Jean, Rocky, Kintla & Zack

Thanks GotDog, Woo Hoo Ann & Sunny!

I want to add my thanks to the Got Dog? crew.  Trials are few and far between around here in the winter and it sure is nice to be able to run in a nice heated arena!

Congrats to Sunny and Ann on their medals!  That put the icing on the cake (or cakes, I should say!)

Thanks Got Dog?

Hi all, Thanks to the Got Dog? crew for a great trial. I was so tickled with the fun-raiser raffle. I won the little bronze horse—I had been eyeing them all weekend!!!

I really liked Arlene’s courses, they were fun, fast and challenging. She was so positive about all the dogs, people and runs, and I think she really had fun. It was fun to see the distance work, and those medals won!!!! The junior handlers were great as usual. My little guy and I have been getting back into agility at the last two Got Dog trials after taking the fall off. I am really proud of him, he has such heart, running his little legs off in those deep sand patches—and he ran about as hard at the end of the three days as he did at the beginning.

We worked on our weaves this weekend, but unfortunately I had a “brain fart” in the last regular run and called him off of a wrong course weaves. Geez…working all weekend (and month) , and then negating that with one stupid blow!!!!! Sami, Pam & Jeannie you were right—shoot me in the head! I have never been accused of quick thinking and it really showed out there. ….but we will persevere, and hopefully get it in the end.

Thanks again for a fun weekend.

Billie
